CATS

“There are two means of refuge from the misery of life — music and cats.” – Albert Schweitzer

Anthropomorphic kittens singing and playing musical instuments.

Cats have always exerted their magic.  And they were the perfect muse for Victorian-era anthropomorphic artists. In the late 19th and early 20th century, holiday and general use postcards featured cats doing routine human activities Though the names of the artists are too often absent from the postcards featuring their work, they continue to gift us with their humor and imagination.
